Legal Counsel - Online Gaming, EMEA

Our client, a dynamic investment group, is seeking an experienced Gaming Legal Counsel specializing in regulatory and compliance matters within the EMEA region. This role is pivotal in advising senior management on online gaming laws, licensing, and compliance while shaping strategic decisions in a fast-evolving industry.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Provide expert legal advice on online gaming regulations, licensing, and compliance across EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Draft and implement compliance measures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to online gaming laws.
  • Manage submissions to online gaming regulatory authorities, including new license applications and variations.
  • Advise on broader legal issues such as intellectual property, anti-money laundering, data protection, and consumer laws.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and support senior management on online gaming-related legal matters.

 

The ideal candidate for this role must possess a robust combination of legal expertise, regional knowledge, and professional skills. You should have:

 

  • 6-8 years of experience in online gaming regulatory/compliance law, preferably in a law firm or in-house setting.
  • Expertise in EMEA gaming regulations is highly desirable.
  • Qualified to practice law in an EMEA jurisdiction or commonwealth country, with a JD, LLB, or equivalent from a top-tier university.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
