Data Center IT Operations Engineer

Key responsibilities:
 
Server rack-mounting, cabling, deployment & OS installation (Linux/Windows).
Troubleshoot hardware failures (CPU, memory, disk, RAID, PSU); spare-part replacement & RMA.
Hardware inspection schedules, reports & KPI monitoring.
Configure & maintain network devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
Network optimization & troubleshooting (BGP/OSPF, VLAN, load-balancing).
Monitor network quality (packet loss, latency, bandwidth); coordinate with carriers & DE-CIX.
Build & maintain IT asset ledger (CMDB) across full lifecycle.
Quarterly/annual inventory, labeling & asset tracking.
Manage spare-part warehouse & consumable stock levels.
 
Requirements:
 
Bachelor's degree in CS, Networking, Telecom or related field.
2+ years IDC / IT infrastructure operations experience.
Linux administration & Shell scripting.
TCP/IP & routing-switching knowledge; Cisco/Huawei/H3C experience.
Familiar with German data-center & carrier workflows.
English working proficiency; German is a plus.
Valid legal residence status for Germany.
Strong independent work & cross-time-zone collaboration skills.
